Are there any players of harmonica in neck rack (a la Bob Dylan or Neil Young) who play bass guitar instead of acoustic or other guitar. . . Any at all, a video would be great Thanks I agree it is very difficult. Apparently much moreso than with a guitar. With the bass both hands tend to be in constant motion as opposed to just the strumming hand on rhythm guitar where you play the harp in between chord changes. So, I would like to see someone who could do it with bass. I have tried but it is ridiculously hard. Breeze with a guitar. Well, I have your answer right here. Maybe not popularly known but who’s to say there isn’t someone out there who has yet to be discovered? If there isn’t its probably b/c its very tricky to play contrapuntally. Meaning that the bass & harmonica lines are likely going to go in 2 different directions, one upward while the other goes down. That’s almost as tricky as patting your head non-stop, while rubbing a circle over your belly, and also attempting to carry on a conversation in a language you sorta-kinda know.
