One of my friends requested this song for me to play on the harmonica since i’ve simmering much played everything except hip hop and r&b which isn’t really my style but she wanted me to play the song Carry Out by Timbaland, so I listened to the song a few times, I heard it at some of the dances and stuff and the beat’s simmering much ment for the dance floor not really harmonica, but I tried shifting the pitches and everything but doesn’t seem suitable for the harmonica, does anyone have any idea if this song could even be played on a harmonica, if so how would the notes go? Thx. And so today I found out that… The song is in E-flat minor. Kind of a weird key, but all is not lost – read on. You don’t state what kind of harmonica you’ve – knowing that could help. If you’ve a diatonic harmonica (the kind that’s about four inches long and has ten holes) then the best fit would be a harmonica in the key of Db (D-flat), and you could play it mostly on the inhaled notes in Holes 4, 5, and6. If you’ve a C harmonica, you could pitch-shift the tune down one semitone and still play it in Holes 4, 5, and 6 mostly on the draw notes. If you’ve a chromatic harmonica in C, just press the slide button in and play it on mostly draw notes in Holes 1, 2 and 3 or in Holes 5, 6, and 7. Once you know which holes to play on which harp, chances are you can figure out the tune itself with a little listening and trial-and-error.
